Every now and then it's funny to see Square Enix handle reporters in a way that leaves them scratching their heads. Let's be honest, though, if you can't answer the question, then you can't answer the question. Square Enix doesn't slip when it comes to PR. After all, one word too many could cost them big time, disappoint fans, or cause mass levels of mayhem. Actually, it could do all of the above and more, so let's check out this hilarious interview where Square Enix answers nothing about Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius:
Well, dang. This interview starts right off the bat with a curveball answer that shuts down the interviewer. In other words, we are not here to give you any special secrets and you will find out what characters will be added to the game during official announcements only. Wow! Should have seen that coming, Square Enix doesn't play.
Note: the interview happened some time ago, when the game was still in open beta.
Square Enix, pretty much could have just ended the interview there. But at least Square Enix said, "Please". So you can't really get mad at that, but I can't help feeling like Justpushstart wasted a chance to have a great interview with Square Enix.
Square Enix: Oh, I'm sorry did you really want to know something?
We have all heard the expression, "Lose lips sink ships", but dang. Square Enix did not budge or even give a hint. It's like mind your own and when we want you to know we will tell you.
Reading over this interview and trying not to laugh is a bit hard because honestly at the end of the day, this is one of those situations that you just have to chalk up to experience. At least Square Enix replied back, but in the future, they would do better asking about details on characters or information that has already been released instead trying to get first and exclusive information out of media giant like Square Enix.
The game is free to play, so what do you expect? If you don't want to wait just pull our your credit card or prepaid card and buy some Lapis.
That's quite a good reply, we are not going to let you know what we are going to do, but we will reply that we are not going to tell you anything. Well done Square Enix PR! Honestly, what was the point of this interview? Let's see what we've learned so far other Square Enix doesn't answer anything that might cause future problems or revile what they are planning. Absolutely nothing.
So out of 15 questions, 7 answers were basically no or we can't answer your questions. While the other answers were so vague they weren't worth including. At the end of the day Square Enix earned their very own Thug Life meme. Cheers!
