Love is truly a crazy thing.
It's tough, unpredictable, and flawed. Falling for someone who's in a different social rank than you're in, or finding yourself captivated by your former enemy, or even having a relationship with someone who's older or younger than you by decades--these are some of the rather unusual instances when it comes to the matters of the heart, but all of them are fairly common and somewhat accepted these days.
But what about dating a bird... or a T-rex?
If you think the above otome game is the weirdest there will ever be, think again. We present to you, five more out-of-the-ordinary dating sims that'll rock your socks off.
Have you ever wished to be Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune's niece? Well, if for some odd reason you have, this otome game will definitely grant that wish of yours!
In Sweet Fuse, you play as Saki Inafune, out to visit your famous uncle's brand new theme park.
Okay... At least I get to text Inafune-san.
[...] suddenly Count Hogstein—a villain as corpulent and cliché as he is evil—blows up the Ferris wheel, takes the park management hostage, and declares the beginning of a deadly series of games.
Apparently, all the other participants of the antagonist's deadly games are stunning bachelors whom you can possibly build a budding relationship with.
Aksys Games released an English version of this game in 2013, so you can go ahead and try saving Uncle Keiji now!
This seems like a good, thrilling otome game, but... why did Idea Factory--the game's developer--have to involve Inafune in this?
Tomak~Save the Earth~
Created by Seed9, a Korean game company, way back 2001, Tomak lets you romance the goddess of love.
You'd expect her to be an ethereal lady with smooth skin, silken tresses, and a great body. The first two features might be true, but we have a big problem on the last one.
[Tomak] left her body in heaven, meaning that she’s just a head stuck in a flower pot.
Staying true to its weird plot, Tomak's art style changes depending on her mood. (Seriously, why?!)
