That's right, Ace Attorney finally has an anime. Announced by Capcom during an Ace Attorney 6 presentation, the new show will be called Gyakuten Saiban or Turnabout Trial in English. The premier will air on April 2, 2016 in Japan.
Here's the first trailer for the show. Some fans are not happy with the animation quality, while others are just thrilled to finally have a show.
Turnabout Trial will follow the story of Phoenix Wright from the two games Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All. We will get to see Mia and Maya Fey, along with Miles Edgeworth being voiced by new seiyuus like Chie Nakamura (the voice behind Sakura in Naruto).
Gyakuten Saiban will premier in Japanese, subtitles will be available online usually a day later. If it does well, it might be dubbed for an overseas release, but Ace Attorney is considered a niche game outside of Japan so the possibility is up in the air.
Are you looking forward to the show?
